Blizzard Bag- My Space
Emma's intention for her "My Space" photo was to capture the space that is all hers. She chose her dresser because that is where she puts the things she likes the most or the things that have meanings; souvenirs, pictures, gifts, etc. Emma used shallow depth of field for this image because she wanted the main focus to be on the picture of her and her dog and the objects on the front of the dresser. Then she wanted the eye to move to the background to see the things on her walls and the objects on the back of the dresser. Emma composed this picture by putting the photograph of her and her dog a bit off center. She liked this effect because she likes how the photograph covers the pictures on her wall but still lets you get an idea of what they are. She also chopped of a few of the objects on the dresser to say that there is more than what is in the photograph. The angle she shot the picture at lets the viewer so what is on Emma's wall behind the dresser. Overall, Emma liked how this photograph turned out.
